Create guard ring or MPP with based on template of other technology than current editing

Hi,

In this troubleshooting information, I can create MPP with the template of current editing cell by using techGetMPPTemplateByName to get MPP template name, and rodCreatePath to create path. But when the template of MPP is in other library with different tech.db info, how can I archive it?

For example, my edit cell is attached with abc technology. But my desired MPP template is in other technology.

Then when using this skill code, there is error about technology.

Thank you very much for your kind support.

The code in that article was written by me. You could adapt the code to pass in tfId as an argument to the function drawMPPUsingTemplate (remove the local variable definition within the function, and also the assignment at the beginning of the function too). Then you could call CCSdrawMPPUsingTemplate(?tfId techGetTechFile(ddGetObj("otherTechLib"))) or similar.

I didn't test this - just an idea to get you  moving in the right direction.

    Andrew.
