Stop pop up after gds stream out

Hi,

I am using skill to generate gds from OA database. Since I have a lot of cells to be streamed out, I would like to block the error and warning pop up that comes at the end of GDS out. I have set the following to .cdsinit.user file . I can see the file being loaded and nothing else getting loaded after this but still I see pop up message at the end of stream out.

envSetVal("xstream" "xstShowCompletionMsgBox" 'boolean nil)

Could you please suggest what could be blocking the functionality.

Regards

Suryansh Singh

The documentation is outdated (it's a bit vague - but I'll request that the mention of this env var is removed from the docs). This is covered in this article: How to turn off "Show Completion Message Box" option by default in Virtuoso Xstream In and Out

The key is you need to do this instead:

    xstSetField("showCompletionMsgBox" "false")

in IC616 onwards, The other env var approach is for IC615.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for this reply. I perhaps lost  it somewhere in SKILL documentation.

I did check the documentation that pops up from SKILL API finder but did not see find this exact field.

    Regards

Don't beat yourself up! The documentation shows the old (now incorrect) way of doing this, and doesn't show the new way (and it's been new for 6 or 7 years or so, so it's hardly new). That's why I filed a request to get the documentation fixed.

    Andrew.
