Setting Cut Class during dbCreateVia

Is there any way to define the "Cut Class" for the via while using dbCreateVia() command?

Thanks

Vishal

     Vishal,

I split this into a separate post, since as the Guidelines for the Custom IC SKILL Forum say, you should not post on the end of an old thread (it was a 10 year old thread).

Here's a related post which discusses querying the cutClass info: RE: Cant get cutClass type of via from querying the via . This also references another post on the subject. Note that you don't specify the cutClass when creating a via - all you do is set the cut parameters (width, height) based on the definition of the cutClass in the tech file. The edit properties form reverse engineers this information to display the cut class again, but it's not specified at creation time or stored as a property on the object.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
