Module Generator

In the help section of cadence virtuoso,one example of routing a module generator is given in which they have used a function gpeAddTwigEntries() but while using the same function in my own script I am getting error as "undefined function"

    Hi Vishal,

    I wonder whether this was a typo that has since been fixed. I can't find that mentioned anywhere (so may be in the specific subversion you're using - you didn't mention which). My guess is that this should have been gpeCreateTwigEntries instead?

    Hi Andrew,

    I am using ICADV12.3-64b version

    Yes it might be a typo but my guess is that the function gpeAddTwigEntries () is no more defined and the same has been merged with gpeCreateTrunkEntries() in which the value returned by the function gpeCreateTwigEntries() is passed as parameter defined by keyword ?twigs.

    Please correct me if I am wrong!!

    Hi Vishal,

    It would be useful to know the precise subversion you're using since the Grid Placement Editor was new in the release you're using (I can't remember precisely when it came in). What does getVersion(t) return?

    The command 'getVersion(t)' returned "sub-version ICADV12.3-64b.500.18"

    Hi Vishal,

    OK, I can see that in the examples provided in that version it references this function. I see a few other issues with that code (spelling mistakes). It's been removed in later versions of the documentation, probably because it was based on some pre-release prototype and some of the functions changed at release time. 

    The only place this function was mentioned was in that one place.

    Can you please provide me with the correct example released in later versions as I don't have access to it!!

    It would be really helpful.

    And there is one more thread "Modgen Topology Constraints" please help me regarding that also.

    The example is no longer in the documentation, so I can’t provide the later, modified version, because it doesn’t exist any more.
