Modgen Editing

Hi,

After creating Modgen(placement+routing), when i am trying to delete some vias(which have been incorrectly formed),the routing funtion is invoked again and the via is not getting deleted.

Is there something which I am missing??

Thanks,

Vishal.

    Hi Vishal,

It's not clear what you are doing, or which version you're using. Can you please provide more details as to precisely what steps you are doing?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    Cadence Virtuoso Versio : ICADV12.3-64b.500.18

Actually I am working on a skill script which automates modgen, the script will do the topology creation and the routing, though for routing you'll still need to click on "generate routing from topology" button in modgen constraint window.

Now the issue is that the vias which are formed are not strong, they are not aligned correctly with the nets, and the Topology Constraints I defined for vias in my script doesn't seem to work, which i don't know why!!!

So what I thought that I'll delete the vias which are automatically generated and run another script for via generation, but while deleting when I am pressing delete button the routing funtion is invoked again and they are not getting deleted.

I hope that you have some solution!!

    T&R,

    Vishal

    Hi Vishal,

Well, doing this via the UI deletes the vias, and you've not provided any details of your SKILL code so there's an awful lot of guesswork that would be needed from me here. So please raise this with customer support - that's going to allow somebody to spend sufficient time on this and see precisely what you're doing.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
