labels only in the inner corners

Hello everybody,

I need to place automatically labels (e.g. X<0:31>) only in the inner corners of a layer(e.g. pwell) that is placed cell by cell hierarchically, creating so a big pwell outline.

Any suggestions about it?

Thanks in advance

I don't understand the question. Can you please elaborate a bit more (maybe with some pictures)?

    Sorry for my bad explanation.

Here below two examples of what I mean.

I'd like put automatically labels in the inner corners of a top view , on a specific layer that  (placed instance by instance) creates a ring .

So , labels on a top view but the specific layer(e.g. pwell) is not selectable at this hierarchical level , because this different instances are placed next to each other not flattened.

    Many thanks

Well, you traverse the hierarchy recursively looking for shapes on the layer in question (using SKILL), keeping track of the transformations as you traverse the hierarchy, and then transform the coordinates up to the top level (so this would need you to use dbConcatTransform, and dbTransformPoint or dbTransformPointList). Not entirely sure how you are deciding which vertices to add labels on or how you name these labels, but presumably you know that and could include it in  your code.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
