Different between Path and MPP on SKILL

As I've faced offgrid issue, I have use the fix offgrid SKILL code on this support (FYI)

Article (11727116) Title: How to fix offgrid issues in a layout cellview hierarchically?
URL: https://support.cadence.com/apex/ArticleAttachmentPortal?id=a1Od0000000nSZ4EAM

I've just realized that the MPP is treated as path. When the fixed path is created, only DIFF layer is drawn. The objType of both MPP and path are "path".

Is there any method to improve this point? Do I have to recreate MPP based on DIFF path?

Thank you very much.

It’s not clear to me what is going on here - maybe a picture would help? In general you can only modify the master path anyway because all the other objects are derived by the multi-part path. So only the master path can be put on grid - if that’s done, the other objects would be on grid provided that the definition of the MPP puts those sub-objects on grid relative to the master path…

Thanks Andrew for support. The below image is explanation.

For example, from MPP in the top, the SKILL script deletes all layers (which are off grid)  and redraw the DIFF path (which is on grid) in the bottom.

When I check property (Q shortkey), MPP has property of Multiparts path. DIFF path is shape and cannot add subpart or subregtangle like MPP.

I would like to know that is there any method redraw fully MPP, not path shape like example above?

There is some work around for this problem like I can use the on grid of DIFF path to draw on grid of MPP.
