instance name not keep in the streamed-out gds

Hi,

In my layout, there are several runs of one pcell with different parameters. The instance names are defines as "run 1" "run2"...

But when streaming out, the related name disappeared and the name for each cell is "pcellName_CDNS_xxxx". How can i export a gds with the correct pcell name ?

You can’t, because the stream format does not support PCells. So instead it has to export fixed cells, and one needs to be generated for each variant of the pcell in use in your design. So whilst in theory if only a single variant is used, a simpler name could be used, in practice that’s very unlikely to happen, so so a unique name needs to be used for each variant. It’s possible to customise the naming for PCells - this is covered in the documentation.
Note that stream also doesn’t support instance names, so these aren’t kept either (I think you’re talking about cell names anyway rather than instance names). The instance name can’t be used as part of the cell name, because you might have multiple instances (and even in different cells in the design) which share the same set of parameters, and so it wouldn't know which instance name to use.
    Regards,
