how to run functions in skill IDE?

open and load dfII/samples/skill/demo.il,

from drop-down list of search toolbar, choose run functions item,

but the combo on the right does not have a drop-down list of functions to choose.

only typing in CIW works.

CIW output does not give the number of the error line when there is error,

besides, how to clear output of CIW?  restart virtuoso?

No, you can type in myFunction1() in the combo-box (the drop-down list only lists functions you've typed before in that box) and hit the arrow to run it. If you type in the CIW it will also run it, and highlight in the text window in the IDE where the error is. It does not show line numbers in the CIW (it's not supposed to).

There's nothing to clear the CIW. Why do you need to do this?

i thought that list is a list of functions which can be run, like software IDEs.

just that i know all the output belongs to the last command only.

Well, given that you'd have to supply suitable arguments to a function to try it out, I'm not sure how useful it would be to just populate the list automatically from the available functions in the source file.

    Andrew.
