ADEXL/ADEL Output expressions and deepprobe for Extracted Netlist Nets

Hi,

I have extracted netlist(dspf file) and want to write output expressions in ADEXL/L for internal nets in dspf.

The format of the dspf netlist is for device instantiation is as below with the format of: DeviceName DrainNet GateNet SourceNet ..

XI12plus_muxi/I4/MMN4@10 I12plus_muxi/I4/MMN4@10:D I12plus_muxi/I4/MMN4@10:G VSS

There are special characters here such as ":" and "/". When I want to write output expression for my simulation testbenches using these with escape character, I am getting error.

Itop.I12plus_muxi\/I4\/MMN4@10\:D => This is how I save the nets(Itop is the top level instance name for dspf cell).

Also I tried deepprobe but this time ":" gives error in deepprobe. I need to change the netlist and replace ":" with sth else like "_". Then, I can get the net outside and write expressions although with this way, everything is saved double one at the low level and one at the top level at the deepprobe output. So if we can directly write expressions to extracted netlist without replacing ":" and deepprobe, that would be the best.

If there are other ways to write expressions, I can try those as well(didn't mention but ocean/skill is the other way I am using for large benches, which works as well but for small bench, I want to use GUI of ADE).

Thanks

yayla
