Choices in radio field to be displayed in two rows

Hi,

I am trying add multiple choices to my radio field in cdf parameters. when i see the select the instance and try editing the Instance properties I can not view them in a single window. Instead i get a vertical sliding bar. Is there a way to display them in multiple rows?

    Hi Haareeth,

The issue is that the CDF parameter definition doesn't have an ?itemsPerRow specification (such as is available in the underlying hiCreateRadioField). It's not entirely trivial to support this with dynamic data because the field height would then change dynamically too.

The general recommendation would be to either use a cyclic field instead, or you could increase the buttonFieldWidth parameter in the CDF (in the Other Settings Tab) to allow enough space. Not sure whether you're talking about the schematic or layout edit props form (I just checked with the schematic edit props form). I just re-checked with the layout forms and they don't seem to need this but do get a horizontal scroll bar (I assume you meant horizontal not vertical) because the field doesn't fit.

So if it's that, your only choice really is to make it a cyclic field. More than that would need an enhancement (and from some internal discussions in a couple of requests before, I wouldn't say that's very likely any time soon when cyclic is a reasonable alternative when you have long strings or a lot of choices).
