How to change the User title in Viva

ayayla

Hi,

I want to change user title for the graphs in Viva. It is shown as x-axis vs y-axis as below. I want the other way around. I am suspecting to use "viva.graphFrame title string" but don't what to put as variable to correct the issue. It would be nice to know if there is a variable for the location of User title. I want to move it to a little center.

Also, is there a way to learn the assigned values for the environment variables? For instance, what is the assigned value for env variable ""viva.graphFrame title"?

thanks

yayla

    Hi Yayla,

Assuming you're trying to automate the graph creation (from a script?), then the simplest would be too use the OCEAN function:

    addSubwindowTitle("Design Points vs DCgain")

I'm not sure whether setting a "default" title would make any sense - normally ViVA adds a sub-window title based on what is plotted - it uses the resultParam("analysis description") (from the same analysis as the data came from) or the expression name if it wasn't from a data set. There is a cdsenv for the subTitle, but I don't see it being used anywhere.

    Andrew.

Thanks Andrew. As you mentioned, it is not useful to have a default title. In the above plot, the title got generated automatically when I plot the waveform and I wanted to change the order.

When I was asking the question, I was thinking that title might have some variable like markers "%X %Y %N" since Dcgain_dB is my expression name and was expecting to play with that variable to make the title more customized.

So you are saying that subtitle variable in cdsenv is not being used anywhere so that there is no way to tell VIVA how to use expression name(or resultParam("analysis description") ) and customize it if VIVA uses a variable for subTitle?

    thanks
