list all sub-cells without opening it (schematic & layout)

Hi,

I wanted to know if there is an easy way to list all subcells of a master cell (not only the first level of hierarchy but all levels down (one level above technology/transistor library)) and their reference libraries in a .txt or .csv file.

I want to check if all cells in a certain hierarchy are with their last versions. If not, then I replace them with the latest version.

I appreciate your help in advance.

    Hi,

What you want to do essentially comes down to recursively traversing a design hierarchy. There are numerous solutions available for this on COS...below is just one of them:

The other thing is the check whether a cell is in it's "latest version". How would you establish that? And how would you find the corresponding latest version of an outdated cell?

    Thanks for your reply.

The new version is in a different library. So if I have a list of all sub-cells and their reference library that just need a "find and replace"
