Problems with ViVA grid display in app and pdf plots

Hi,

I am experiencing a number of problems with the ViVA waveform viewer after a recent update of the virtuoso to the version mentioned above.

  • The ViVA waveform viewer is not displaying the minor grid in-app, despite being selected
  • None of the gridlines is visible in pdf plots, despite being selected. The only way to make them appear is to change the AutoScale mode to manual and execute a change in the major and/or minor divisions, which honestly is rather annoying.

I have set envSetVal("viva.axis" "minorGridsOn" 'string "true") and envSetVal("viva.axis" "majorGridsOn" 'string "true") both in the .cdsinit and through CIW. The tool confirms they are set to the selected value but no change occurs.

This problem wasn't present in the previously used version (some flavor of 6.1.7, can't recall the exact version).

Any pointers?

  • Something is definitely wrong here - the minor grids seem to have vanished in IC6.1.8-64b.500.9 - and I've not found any reports of this, which is a bit surprising.

    I do get some grid lines in the PDF, but it does seem a bit dependent upon exactly which method I used to produce the PDF.

    Please contact customer support so that we can sort this out properly. I'm unlikely to have the bandwidth in the next few days to follow this up with R&D as I have a number of existing commitments in the day job this week...

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for the prompt confirmation. Several other odd behaviors have been observed with the ViVA tool in this release. I have submitted the ticket as you suggested.
