leMarkNet highlight options to high light in a subcell at 0 stop level

When I use the leMarkNet in a script and have the stop level 0 the leMarkNet will not high light subcells

If I increase the stop level to a level that the shape would be visible the high light will work.

It is not necessary for the layer to be visible but the layer exist at that stop level.

Is there a variable to allow the leMarkNet to high light the shapes in the subcell and have the stop level 0?

    Hi,

    Have you succeed in this?

If possible, I want to learn it.

I think I accidently found the reason why it does not hilite at zero level
Due to within some issues in cadence and our environment we dont use pins, only labels. Well at least I prefer not to use pins, not enough benefit.

So if there is no shape viewed to start the marknet the shapes wont be hilited. A pin solves this issue in the cellview.

    Paul,

That seems odd, given that I can't see why it would care about pins. Mark Net is a shape tracer, and doesn't look at connectivity information. I just tried it out on a silly piece of layout at level 0 with no pins, and it worked fine:

The areas over I1 and I2 are just shapes within the cells which are being highlighted. This works in ICADVM18.1 ISR13 - the same version you're using.

If you're asking me, then I was countering the fact that Paul said that Mark Net was not highlighting shapes in sub cells when the displayed stop level was 0, and that it was the situation when there were no pins present. I just showed an example where I had shapes in the lower level cells (not visible, because the stop level is 0) and those lower level cells and the top level don't have any pins, don't have any connectivity information, and mark net still is able to follow the shapes in the lower level cells.

So I don't understand what Paul's issue was in the first place, nor do I see that the presence of pins in the layout has anything to do with it.

What did you mean by "what do you mean?"?
