Toolbar text changing with status

Hello,
I'm creating a custom toolbar and I can't find the way to create a text that changes depending on the status. i.e. the "show selection info" toolbar, or when the "selected" numbers change in the status bar.

Thanks in advance.

    Mauro,

    I don't think you can, in general. The status toolbar can be customised to show special stuff (although the documentation is a bit sparse - there's a video on it here). That's because there's a trigger which explicitly knows that it needs to be updated whenever anything like the selection changes.

    Does the existing status toolbar (controlled via the layout statusToolbarFields end var) do what you want?

    Andrew.

    Thanks a lot for your fast response,

    I got somehow close to what I wanted with ?iconText t_iconText

    The text that is displayed for the action. t_iconText is displayed if g_icon is not specified or is nil.

    After the toolbar is created, you can change the text with the hiIconText property. For example:

    windowID->hiToolbars->toolbarName->actionName->hiIconText = “Edit Mode”
