Create function view include verilog code using SKILL

Hi, Cadence Family

I have created the function view with pin info by schViewtoView, but it's just a empty module.

When I try to add verilog code by schInstallHDL, CIW says *Error* Cellview already exists as below.

How could I do to add verilog code by SKILL?

Your help will be appreciated.

Virtuoso version IC6.1.7-64b.500.21

Either don't create the view first with schViewToView (which is a bit pointless if you're going to then use schInstallHDL afterwards), or use additional optional arguments of schInstallHDL. If you'd looked in the documentation, the 6th argument allows you to overwrite existing views:

    schInstallHDL("test" "invx_lv" "functional" "inv.v" nil t)

    Hi, Andrew

    Thanks for your reply ~

Because schViewToView can create verilog module with pin information so I create the functional view first by schViewToView.

Is there any way to insert the behavior verilog code after schViewToView ?

    Your help will be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Morris,

I'm not sure it would really make sense to insert the behavioural code if you're using schViewToView - the behavioural code would be specific to the particular block and the actual pins. I was going to suggest schInstallHDL but that was already mentioned before.
