Screenshots of schematic instances

I want to open and grab screenshots/images of instances hierachially in a schematic by name and by net. I've used hiGenerateThumbnails and hiWindowSaveImage previously to grab images but have had little success automatically opening instances and grabbing pictures of them. How would you recommend going about getting pictures of an instance in a schematic using SKILL?

I also want to open (and screenshot) instances in a schematic that have specific nets in them. Do you have any suggestions on how to do that?

thank you!

I was able to solve my own solution to this problem by using geSwitch and hiExportImage and 2 nested for loops but not all of the problems. I am able to take screenshots/images of a 2 level hierarchy schematic (instance within an instance), but am making changes to make it recursive and so it traverse n levels of instances and grab screenshots of everything. Does anyone have any suggestions on writing a recursive function for this?

Does anyone know of a way to do schTraceNet using Virtuoso 6.1.7, are there any comparable methods or example programs I can use to acomplish the same task? I was looking at using hnlMapInstName and some of the other hnlMap commands to no avail. EDIT: Has anyone used schNetExprAvailProps or schNetExprEvalNames to accomplish something like this?
