Acces Error Log of vmsUpdateCellViews Command

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am working on a piece of custom Skill code where I use the vmsUpdateCellViews function to parse VerilogAMS views (and other functional models). I would like to somehow be able to access the error log of this function in my script. I have thus far discovered that a log file is created in the /tmp folder if the command fails, but I have been unable to find out how to either get the name of this file or if it's possible to directly intercept the data being written to it. I could not find anything on this in the documentation nor on the support site / forums but I am hoping it is possible.

Kind regards,

Jasper

    Hi Jasper,

I can't see any way of doing this currently, at least not without using private functions. I did find an undocumented option but this doesn't give the detailed parser log file that you're after, so I don't think it helps.

Probably something you should take up with customer support.

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your quick reply. Too bad it's not straightforward but at least I know I can stop looking for now. I'll ask our CAD team to take it up with customer support.

    Kind regards,

    Jasper
