Spectre APS in SKILL

Dear,

Can anyone tell me how to change vanilla spectre to spectre APS using SKILL? Also, in ADE L, how to set high performance analysis related variables using SKILL?

    The default would be set with:

    envSetVal("spectre.turboOpts" "uniMode" 'string "APS")

    (in fact that's the default in current versions). There are other settings which (in IC6.1.8/ICADVM18.1/20.1) you can find by using Options->Cdsenv editor and searching for turboOpts.

    These only affect new ADE sessions - they get saved in the state so changing the cdsenv vars won't affect current settings. It's not clear in which circumstances you wished to change the settings though.

    I would like to change it after creating an ADE session just like how we used to do in GUI by editting settings in high-performance simulation.

    But, since we can change the default option that would be even better!

    Hi Weijie,

    You can change them for an existing session using the same option names that cdsenv uses, with this function (for example):

    asiSetHighPerformanceOptionVal(asiGetCurrentSession() "numThreads" "6")

    Regards,

    Andrew

    This is exactly what I am looking for.

    I personally love reading giant well-documented manuals, which Cadence gave me a lot. But I do get drown in functions...

    Just hope that one day I could become one of those that can help others!

    Best,

    Weijie
