How to switch config in the ocean pre run flow

Background: In the pre run flow, I need to simulate another large design to get some info. It is preferred that this large design is not part of the actual simulation. I think it is possible but not sure that I can put that design into another testbench scheamtic, let's say scheamtic_A and have my actual testbench schematic as scheamtic_B.

I looked into the export oceanscript from maestro. I spotted a few lines that might be relevant:

  • ocnxlBeginTest(" xxx")
  • design( "lib" "cell" "config")
  • ocnxlEndTest(" xxx")
  • analysis('dc blablalba )

What I have in my mind is to work like this:

; simulate scheamtic_A
design( "lib" "cell" "config_A")
ocnxlLoadCurrentEnvironment( ?noAnalysis t)
ocnxlSetCalibration()
analysis('hb blablalba )
ocnxlRunCalibration()
some_var = VDC("...")
desVar("some_var" some_var)
ocnCloseSession()

;simulate schematic_B
design( "lib" "cell" "config_B")
ocnxlLoadCurrentEnvironment( ?noAnalysis t)
ocnxlSetCalibration()
analysis('ac blablalba )
ocnxlRunCalibration()
; load some var
some_var_loaded = evalstring(desVar("some_var"))
ocnCloseSession()

There are a few things that I am not sure:

1. Is this the right flow?

2. When executing ocnxlRunCalibration() in the 2nd part, is only ac or both hb and ac simulations are going to be performed? What if I only want to run ac simulation for the 2nd part.
