Problem with autovia script when zooming out too much

Hi,

I have a autoiva script given to me by cadence support some 3 years back and it is given below :

procedure(CCSmyCreateAutoVia(cvId point)
hiRegTimer("hiGetCurrentForm()->viaMode->value=\"Auto\"
hiGetCurrentForm()->rodAutoName->value=t
hiToggleEnterForm(hiGetCurrentForm())" 0)
preXY(point)
finishEnterFun()
leHiCreateVia())
procedure(CCScreateAutoVia(point @key (cvId geGetEditCellView()))
unless(cvId && cvId~>objType=="cellView"
error("Please pass a valid cellview ID\n"))
hiRegTimer("finishEnterFun()" 0)
CCSmyCreateAutoVia(cvId point))

Just use the function CCSmyCreateAutoVia(cvId point) to add via to the point list given in point. Pretty simple and easy to use when I am zoomed-in close enough to see the metal overlap over which via is to be place.

But 1 major problem with this script is when I am too much zoomed out from the layout window, (zoomed out upto a level when I cant see clearly the metal overlap over which via will be place) this script doesn't place a via.

Also, I dont want to use functions like viaGenerateVias* as they use other kinds of licenses.

How to solve this issue,

Regards,

Leo

    When I am too zoomed out, it says :
    No via has been created because there is no overlap at the selected location.

    But when I am zoomed in near to place where via needs to be placed, it does proper job. Problem comes only when I am zoomed out much. How to resolve this issue.

    Or, anyone has better autovia placing script which is prone to zooming levels.

    Regards,

    Leo
