viva.trace possible values

Hi all,

Is there a way to list or get possible values for:

envGetVal("viva.trace" "symbolStyle" 'string "plus")

"plus" value draws points and what I need is that there are no symbols.

I am using:

IC6.1.8-64b.500.10

Thank  You in advance

The only information I could find was at https://support.cadence.com/apex/techpubDocViewerPage?path=vivaxlug/vivaxlugIC6.1.8/appA.html#pgfId-1084218 . You might want to try the symbolsOn variable. The Cdsenv editor might also be able to help you, see https://community.cadence.com/cadence_technology_forums/f/custom-ic-design/49057/virtuoso-layout-xl-how-to-switch-between-quick-align-user-spacing-and-quick-align-no-spacing-with-single-keystroke

Unfortunately I don't think the cdsenv editor helps here, Frank.

The simplest way to find out the choices is to select a trace, and then use Right Mouse->Symbol and see the choices. Those are all the available values you can pick for the symbolStyle (note that the case of the value is ignored, so "Shiny Ball" works just as well as "shiny ball" and "SHINY BALL" or "SHinY bALl".

As you indicated, you also need to set symbolsOn to "true" to have an effect.

    Thank you both.

What I needed was "Symbols Off"

    Best regards,

    Dragan
