Invoke layoutXL from SKILL

Dear,

I want to try the route feature of layoutXL. I want to use lxLaunchLayoutXL function to invoke LayoutXL using SKILL code. However, it requires a schematic Window ID to do the job. Since I use dbOpenCellViewByType to create and edit my schematic there is no window view of that. I can certainly open one manually but that breaks the whole point. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

    Hi Weijie,

I've not tried to do what you're doing here, but probably you'd need to use the lxRunCmdInXL function to do this. See the documentation, and if you hit any issues the best place to follow up would be via customer support.

    Thanks,

    Andrew
