Force printing to CIW in long-running script

FormerMember

Hello,

I have a script, which takes some time and creates a large schematic with several thousand instances. I use 'printf' commands to show the progress in the CIW, but the messages are not shown immediately, especially when processing long list with a 'foreach' loop.

Is it possible to force an update of the CIW buffer after a command during script execution? I tried using 'ipcSleepMilli' to pause the script, but this does not work reliably. I found the hiFlushCIW() and hiFlushInfo() functions, but these also do not seem to work as expected.

Best regards

Paul

    Paul,

I'm not sure why that wouldn't work - it seems to work for me. Please contact customer support because there may be some thing specific to what you're doing that means that this isn't working.
