How to check if schematic / layout views need saving due to updates

Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to open schematic or layout views and check if they require a re-save due to various reasons (e.g. updates in instances present in the schematic/layout view)
I only wish to find and report the cellviews with such a status.

On the schematic side I've tried using dbOpenCellViewByType followed by schCheck / schCheckHier. But I get no warnings, even though when opening the schematic window I do get warning SCH-2162 regarding the view needing a Check and Save.

It's probably a simple solution but I can't think of it.

Regards,
Mihai
