CDB convert to OA. Every layout display normally but nch_mac

Hi all,

Thanks for your reply in advance.

We have encountered an issue about the layout disappeared issue while converting CDB to OA.

Everything in our PDK kit is converted successfully, except for nch_mac.

Unfortunately, nch_mac is an extremely essential device.

Please anyone?

left is pch_mac; right is nch_mac

Sincerely

rayyeh

The first thing I would suggest would be to check with the foundry as it's highly likely they have an OpenAccess version of the PDK rather than relying on you converting it yourself. It's always better to use a properly QA'd PDK rather than a home conversion.

If for some reason that is not possible, the first thing to do is look in the cdb2oa log file for explanations as to what might have gone wrong with the migration. It's pretty difficult to anticipate what might have gone wrong solely from a missing view in the library!

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for the reply!

The problem is due to the path definition of IC5.14.1 and IC6.

We must revise the physical path of your library in IC5.14.1 into the relative path and then convert it by cdb2oa.csh.

The following is the command line written in the cdb2oa.csh :

    Rcdb2oa -cdslibpath ../icfb/cds.lib -lib YOUR_LIB -log cdb2oa.log

Before converting, we should make a directory, eg. Virtuoso, then copy display.drf from IC5 and then source cdb2oa.csh.

After converting, copy cds.lib from foundry PDK into your directory.

In the end, inclide YOUR_LIB into the cds.lib

    Regards,

    Ray
