Change font size of values on digital bus in exported image

Hi,

I am exporting a digital bus waveform to PDF, however, although the font size of legends and axis seem to be scaled to the paper size, it doesn't occur to the values in the digital bus:

Do you know how to set up the font size for those values in the bus?

Thanks,

I see this problem if I use Save Image to create a PDF file, but it's OK if I use File->Print instead to print to PDF. How are you exporting the PDF and which IC sub-version are you using? (Help->About will give the full subversion number).

I can't find any reports of this issue, but before raising it with R&D I'd like to understand which approach you're taking to export the PDF.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

    Thank you for the response.

I am using the version IC6.1.6-64b.500.13.

I am generating a PDF with File->Save Image and I selected PDF as the format output. I prefer this approach to generate the PDF as it gives more options to customize the presentation, different from the print approach.

Plotting templates were added in ADE Explorer/Assembler in IC6.1.8 back in 2018. You're using a version from September 2015 (why use an almost 7 year old version of the tools?).

    Andrew

Apologies - I replied to the wrong post. My point about old versions is still valid though! I filed a change request (CCR 2661166) to get the fonts fixed when using Save Image.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your response. I am using that version because my university has a license for that one and it is the version that is installed in our server. I don't know exactly why the administrators employ that old version. Do you know if more recent have other requirements of pricing?

Thank you for that :) I believe it will be very useful.

It's highly unlikely that the university only have a license for an old version - that's really not how we do our licenses with universities (or most customers either). What's more likely is that they simply have not installed the newer version. Are you part of the Europractice scheme? If so, there really is no good reason for this...

    Hi Andrew,

My university is from South America, and I'm afraid it is not in the Europractice scheme. However, I will ask my advisor and the system administrators about why our servers uses that old tool version. Perhaps, as you commented above, it is just a matter of installing the updated one.

    Thank you for help.

    Best regards,
    Luighi Viton-Zorrilla

As a follow-up, the issue in this thread has been fixed - now print and save image both have well-defined text sizes for the bus values, plus  a cdsenv entry: viva.digitalBusTrace font  to change the font used. This fix will be in IC6.1.8-64b.500.27 and ICADVM20.1-64b.500.27 which is due out 19th August (i.e. in about 3 weeks).
