Rename net without label or pin

Is there a way to rename a net in a schematic using SKILL, when that net is not associated with a label or pin? I want the name to remain after a check-and-save so I can't use dbRenameNet().

You should use schCreateWireLabel to add a label to the net if you want to force a name after check-and-save.
