g_overwrite in ccpCopyDesign does not seem to work

Hi all.

I'm using Virtuoso IC6.1.8-500.19 and I want to copy all "maskLayout" cellviews in hierarchy from cellview cellA in libA to library libB.

In libB, there are already existing cells including the cellC, where cellC is also the child instance of cellA.

I want to overwrite the cellC, not to rename cell while copying cellA, so I write the SKILL script as below.

src = gdmCreateSpec(libA cellA viewA "" "Library")

dest = gdmCreateSpec(libB "" "" "" "Library")

ccpCopyDesign(src dest t 'CCP_EXPAND_ALL gdmCreateSpecList() list("maskLayout"))

I read the user guide and post below, and I expect what I intend to.

SKILL: Copy operation gets cancelled with the warning messages of "destination collides with another" using custom SKILL code

However, it still returns warning with the message, and the copy is cancelled.

*Warning* (ccpCopyDesign) : [libA.cellC:layout/master.tag]->[libB.cellC:layout/mater.tag]: destination collides with another.

If there is any missing points, please tell me.

    This should work in general (I just tried it, and it's fine). However, I wonder if the issue you're seeing is this:

    SKILL: Copy operation gets cancelled with the warning messages of "destination collides with another" using custom SKILL code

    If there are sub-cells being copied from (say) different libraries which have the same cell name, they would clash when the copy is performed as the destination is a single library. So you might need to turn on the auto-rename as described in the article.

    Thank you for your kindness, Andrew Beckett!

    I found the reason of my problem is that the cellA is messed up.Disappointed

    Some instances under cellA are from different libraries, so they must be fixed.

    We can get the expected result for other cells! Thank you again.
