Moving pCell Layout to 0:0 Origin

Hi,

    I just created a pCell and it's doing everything it's supposed to do. However, I've discovered that the origin of the pCell in the layout is not at 0:0. This creates minor issues as when the pCell is instantiated and placed in the layout, it's inconvenient for the user to align it with existing shapes. Is there a way in SKILL to move the pCell origin to 0:0 without having to rewrite a significant amount of code? Since this is a pCell, I'd like to avoid using le commands.

Regards,

Nishant

    Hi Nishant,

    Well, the origin actually is at 0:0, but I assume what you really mean is that some point in the resulting layout isn't at 0:0 and you want it to be?

    You could use a loop over the ~>shapes (and maybe ~>instances - maybe other objects too; depends on your PCell code) and call dbMoveFig on each object with an appropriate transform to shift to the origin. If the coordinate the point that you want to be at the origin is x:y then the transformation would be list(-x:-y "R0" 1)

    Hi Andrew,

                    Thank you, you have the answer as always! This seems to work:

                     current_center = centerBox(cvId~>bBox)
                     foreach(shape cvId~>shapes dbMoveFig(shape cvId list(-nth(0,current_center):-nth(1,current_center) "R0")))

    Regards,

    Nishant.
