Variable Parameters in Fluid Pcell

Hello there,

I am trying to make a pcell with fluid shapes., In pcell to add a fluid property to a layer, we have to define the layer in parameters of pcell and then convert that layer in fluid layer. I am making a pcell which will take the dimension of the boundary present in the cellview and  generate a pcell with metals with pre-defined width and space. Now the issue is boundary can be anything, sometimes it can accomodate 5 metals and sometimes 50 metals, so how can we solve this problem? Is there any way to dynamically assign parameters in the pcDefinePcell command. I want all metals to have a fluid properties.

If there is anything missing, please let me know.

Thanks

Amar

    Amar,

It's not that clear what you're trying to do here. My first inclination would be to say that creating Fluid Pcells is massively simpler with PCell Designer, but either way you should contact customer support so that you can talk this through with an Application Engineer. I'm not sure what you mean by "dynamically assign parameters" for example - that would be much easier to discuss through a support case.

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Thanks Andrew for your response.

"dynamically assign parameters" meant like using a for loop or any other procedure , to define number of parameters based on height of the cell. It will make all layers in pcell, fluid.

Sure, I will try to talk to Application Engineer for this.

    Thanks

You can't have the parameters varying based on some aspect of the design. However, I'm not really sure why you'd need the parameters to vary - you can have multiple shapes (on different layers) all sharing the same fluid parameter.

Anyway, best to discuss through customer support.
