Automatically Display Layout XL on 1 screen and Schematic on the other screen

Hi,

I am new in learning cadence SKILL and I'm currently using cadence virtuoso ICADVM20.1-64b.

Can someone help me if there is already a SKILL program or cadence feature that can display the layout XL on left screen and schematic view on right?

I read the forum guidelines and checked if there's already a similar inquiry with this and this is what I found: https://support.cadence.com/apex/ArticleAttachmentPortal?id=a1Od0000000nVxnEAE&pageName=ArticleContent&caseSessionKey=0053w000009eUkpAAE__20230213131015443

I have 2 monitors of different size where I tried to run this but it seems to work only on one monitor.

I tried to explore hiGetMaxScreenCoords() but it always give me the coordinates of the largest monitor I'm using.

Hope someone could help.

Thank you very much!

Regards,

Anna

    Hi Anna,

Have you tried placing the windows where you want them by hand?

You should then be able to use the following command in the CIW to get their actual coordinates :

    (hiGetAbsWindowScreenBBox (hiGetCurrentWindow) t)

    Cheers,

    Aurélien
