ddsSetLibManLCV Command not working with ICManager Library Manager

Hello,

I have a Library manager window open that's titled "IC Manage - Library Manager : /something/something...", when I try to execute the ddsSetLibManLCV command, I get a return value of "nil" - as if virtuoso doesn't see that I have Library Manager open. However, when I open a new Library Manager window from the Cadence CIW window - this opens a new Library Manager window that's titled "Library Manager: directory /something/something...". Then when I run the dds SKILL command, it works. I am wondering if there is a way to have these commands work on my original IC Manager Library Manager window?

Background of what I am trying to do - essentially I would like to create a script that sets the Library Manager to the layout or schematic I have opened - this script would be assigned to a bind key, lets say for example Ctrl+V, so when I press Ctrl+V while I'm in a schematic or layout, the Library Manager window would be raised and set to the Library/Cell/View of the schematic or layout I ran this script from.

You should contact IC Manage about this. The library manager you are referring to is theirs and is used to replace the standard Virtuoso Library Manager. Any SKILL function to control this would come from them as it's their product, and so they would be best placed to advise on any SKILL function that they may or may not provide to do what you want.

    Regards,

    Andrew
