I'm using lceExtract and I would like to capture it's output to an external file. Is there a way to capture this?

lceExtract seems to only report to the CIW/log file.  I would like to report put to an external file without having to tail my CDS.log file.   Is there a way to do this or another command that would give me a similar output of shorts/opens in the layout?   thanks, Donna

    Hi Donna,

    This should do it - it has the same arguments as lceExtract but with an additional initial argument which is the file to write to.

    procedure(CCFextractAndReport(fileName cellView @rest args)
      let(((outp outfile(fileName)))
        when(outp
          prog1(
            let(((poport outp))
              apply('lceExtract cellView args)
            )
            close(outp)
          )
        )
      )
    )
