BindKey for probing

Hi to all,

I am trying to create a bindkey to use with the letter "W" where it trigger the probe function of the net selected in the schematic to be displayed in the layout and the the "shift W" to remove the probe of the specific net.

The command in the log is this :

_asstSetProbeColor(hiGetCurrentWindow() "y1" "drawing")

but when I add it to the bindkey editor it returns an error !

Can anyone help me with the code for this please.

Thank you and best regards
Vasco

    Er, there's no error shown?

    However, if you'd have done that, it would have given an error since schSingleSelectPt() returns t/nil and not a window id:

    *Error* geGetAllProbe: argument #1 should be a window type (type template = "w") - nil

    You could do it this way - define the bindkey like this:

    _asstSetProbeColor(schSingleSelectPt()&&hiGetCurrentWindow() "y1" "drawing")

    However, rather than using a private function, this could be done with:

    geEnterAddNetProbe(hiGetCurrentWindow() '("y1" "drawing"))

    which is entirely public.Often this function is on the "9" bindkey, but without specifying the LPP to use.
