How to use SKILL program to draw a simple M1 rectangle, which is inside a group.

Hi,

I know the below program draws a M1 rectangle.

let( (cv)
cv = dbOpenCellViewByType("mylib" "mycell" "layout" "maskLayout" "a")
dbCreateRect(cv list("M1" "drawing") list(0:0 1:1))
dbSave(cv)
); let

But how to draw a rectangle which appears along or inside a group.

For example the moment we run the code, the rectangle would appear, but when we try to select it, its actually a group, and then we might have to descend into the group to access the rectangle's property.

Thanks

    let( (cv rect fg)
      cv = dbOpenCellViewByType("mylib" "mycell" "layout" "maskLayout" "a")
      rect=dbCreateRect(cv list("M1" "drawing") list(0:0 1:1))
      fg=dbCreateFigGroup(cv "myFigGroup1" nil lowerLeft(rect~>bBox) "R0")
      dbAddFigToFigGroup(fg rect)

      dbSave(cv)
    ); let

    You do need to make sure that the fig group name is unique to this cellView - you can find existing names by looking at cv~>figGroups~>name
