question with "Create Pin / Create Pin From Label / Create Dummy With Net"

Hi,

Thanks for your time.

I bring the 2 question about "Create Pin" & "Create Dummy With Net" in Layout XL.

1.

I found that there is the 'Physical Only' option in the 'Pin Tool' -> 'Create Pin'

I read the 'Cadence Help' and try it myself, but I didn't find any differences between turning on this option or not.

So, I want to know how this option works.

2.

In the 'Create Pin From Label', there is the 'Create Whole Shape Pin for Labels'.

I read the Cadence Help, and understand it, so, I tried it myself.

But, I didn't find any difference between turning on this option or not.

If it is possible, please teach me how this options works..

3.

I found that when I execute the "Create Dummy With Net", the two options are formed.

- lvsIgnore

- ignore

I asked this few days ago, and someone says 'both options are for ignoring the dummies during the LVS verification'

However, dummies are not ignored during the LVS verification after turning on this option,

and I found that these options works with CAS(Check Against Source).

With turning these options, annotation browser ignore the unbound dummies after the CAS.

But, still, I don't know what the exact difference between the two options. (I also read the Cadence Help, but I still don't have any idea...)

So, 'Is it correct that those two options work only with CAS?', 'what's the difference between those two options' -> these are my question.

I write these questions after reading the Cadence Help and trying it myself.

Please answer those questions....

Best Regrads.
