Running schVIC on read-only schematic updating cellview counter

I'm trying to use the functionality of schVIC (verify a schematic is in sync with it's symbol view) on a read-only schematic without having the schematic cellview modified with any warning or error markers.

I'm using dbGetCellViewCounter(cvId) to glean when a cellview has been changed, but using schVIC() breaks this behavior when it adds warning markers to the read-only schematic thus incrementing the cellview db counter.

Even disabling the cellview counter with dbDisableCellViewCounter(cvId) just before calling schVIC(cvId) doesn't work as the counter is still incremented due to vic warnings.

Does anyone know of way to determine schematic/symbol consistency using a built-in SKILL function that does not modify the cellview counter?

If not, then I'll have to write my own cross view consistency function.
