Run bisection with SPECTRE syntax

Misa

Hello, I'm quite new to spectre syntax scripting for simulation. And I don't know if there is a syntax to run bisection just like with SPICE syntax like this:

.param nwidth = opt1(5,0.5,10)

.tran 1p 300n UIC sweep optimize=opt1 result=vsw model=opt_model monte=1000
.model opt_model opt method=bisection itropt 50

.meas tran vsw find v(OUT_N) at 200.4n goal='0.1*1.6'

The purpose is to find the best nwidth for the level shifter to have the delay from input to output around 200ns. I found the syntax for monte carlo analysis but I can't find any syntax for bisection.

Thank you.

    Misa,

In general we don't document the SPICE syntax to do this for Spectre; it's provided for compatibility with other simulators. I'd recommend using SpectreMDL instead (read the manual on Spectre Measurement Description Language) - it's more expressive and a clearer way to describe such needs (I don't have time to put together an example, sorry). If you really need the SPICE syntax, please contact customer support.
