how to delete the pin completely in layout

Hello,

There is only one pin in layout. When I want to remove a pin in layout, I use cv~>shape to find the db id  and use dbDeleteObject( id) to remove the pin. when it is done, the pin are removed in layout and can see nothing in layout.

but when use cv~>?? to check the layout, the pin information for signals and sigNames are still there. When I export the DEF, the AA pin is still in DEF file without any shape definition.

How can I remove one pin information completely in layout by skill command? Thanks

before remove

After removed

    It's legal to have terminals with no pins, so the pins, terminals and nets are not automatically deleted when a pin figure is removed. You can also have more than one figure on a pin, and more than one pin on a terminal, and of course other things on the net - so you probably need to be cautious about deleting the other objects in case other pins exist or other connections exist for the net.

    If you'd only had a single pin with a single figure and nothing else on the net, you could use:

    pin=pinFig~>pin
    term=pin~>term
    net=term~>net
    dbDeleteObject(pinFig)
    dbDeleteObject(pin)
    dbDeleteObject(term)
    dbDeleteObject(net)
