loading cdsplotinit config file report syntax error

Hi,

I try to setup the eps plotter to print out schematic. I modified the sample cdsplotinit file located under cadence installation directory. However when it is loaded, following error popped up. I only delete the unnecessary stuff without touching the main session of eps printer from the sample file, not sure why such error occurred.

Any feedback or suggestion would be appreciated!

Thanks!

    Hi John,

The .cdsplotinit file is not a SKILL syntax file, and you would not load it directly like this - you just need to place the file in an apporpriate loaction (look in the docs but it could be in your working directory, your home directory and/or a central location defined by your tool installer). The files are read when you initiate the Plot function (e.g. File -> Print).

    Hopefully this will help you.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

Thank you so much Lawrence! This solved my issue. It was weird though I tried print it initially but still didn't see the plotter. But anyhow, it works now. Appreciate your promptly response.
