Do I need createNetlist() before run() ?

Hi there,

We have some ocean scripts to execute some simulations .
In all those scriptis we have sequence like below

createNetlist(?recreateAll t ?display nil)
runResult = run( ?jobName "job" ?drmsCmd "Whatever...." )

Question: is createNetlist() needed, or if the netlist is older than the design data the run() call will also generate the netlist?

I'm asking this because we got complains from users that the netlist is executed twice and in case of big schematic hierarchy the time spent here matters.

Checking the run() documentation I can not find something about netlist generation.
Could be the because of "?drmsCmd" param?

Thank you,

Marcel

    Marcel,

No, it's not needed. run() does a netlist-and-run.
