maeCreateNetlist fails with error - _axlGetConfigBindingForDataPoint: argument #1 should be a hierarchical database configuration object (type template = "htt")"

Hi,

I am trying to create a netlist for a test in a maestro view (ADE explorer view), when right clicking the test and pressing create/recreate netlist the netlist is created correctly

however, through SKILL as well as the CIW I am getting the error

""*Error* _axlGetConfigBindingForDataPoint: argument #1 should be a hierarchical database configuration object (type template = "htt")"

I am using the command maeCreateNetlistForCorner(test_name corner net_list_dir ?session )

I tried restarting virtuoso but did not help, I tried creating a new maestro view and did not face the same error, so it seems the error is related to this specific view

copying the view did not help, the error indicates that the test has a config view attached as a design, but it does not, however at some point I had it pointing to a config view, could this be an issue ?

I can run the simulation from maestro, and the netlisting step preceding the simulations goes through without issues

- is there a different approach to generate the netlist for a given test ?

- what are the differences between generating the netlist for the test from the GUI vs the maeCreateNetlist function

Virtuoso Version:
"@(#)$CDS: virtuoso version IC23.1-64b 02/21/2024 19:45 (cpgbld22) $"
sub-version
"sub-version IC23.1-64b.NYISR4.8

Thanks,

Fahmy

    Fahmy,

This suggests you have a config sweep variable - maybe you have that still but no longer are using a config view? Just pondering what might be wrong here.

I would strongly advise contacting customer support over this, because we probably need to see the data.

    Regards,

    Andrew
