How to create a stacked via with SKILL

I have been looking around a way of creating a stacked via from M1 to M9. In the GUI, it can be done by Create > Via and then choose the mode "stacked" and specify the start layer to M1 and end layer to M9 and then select the cut class to "rect". I am trying to find a way of automating the process of creating the via and then placing it down. I know that you can use dbCreateVia() to create a via but I am not sure if it can create a via stack.

    Hi TzuYun,

    Look at the

    viaGenerateViasAtPoint()

    command  since it has arguments for the lop and bottom layers:

    viaGenerateViasAtPoint(
      w_windowId | d_cellViewId
      l_point
      t_viaOptionsObject
      [ ?topAndBottomLayers lt_topAndBottomLayers ]
      [ ?startLevel x_startLevel ]
      [ ?stopLevel x_stopLevel ]
    )     => l_via / nil

    Hopefully this can do what you want.

    Best regards,

    Lawrence.

    Hi Lawrence,

    Thank you for pointing me to the right direction! I later on use viaGenerateViasInArea to generate the vias in the specified area.
