Current view of Cellview

Hello!

Is there a SKILL code that can check what objects are currently seen in the cellview window? Also a SKILL code to get the coordinates of an object relative to the window? (Both schematic and layout view answers are greatly appreciated)

I would like this SKILL code since I would like to check if the tool successfully "zoomed-in", meaning I will compare the objects that were seen before and after the zooming-in, and check if the object is still centered inside the window.

Thank you for your time!

    You can find the coordinates that the window is showing by using hiGetViewBBox(windowId). Your need to find the objects shown within the box is a little unusual, but you could use:

    cvId=geGetEditCellView(windowId)
    objects=dbGetOverlaps(cvId hiGetViewBBox(windowId)) ; just top-level objects

    If you have a specific object you want to check relative to the window, I guess you could do:

    objCoord=centerBox(objId~>bBox)
    viewBBox=hiGetViewBBox(hiGetCurrentWindow())
    objRelativeCoord=xCoord(objCoord)-xCoord(lowerLeft(viewBBox)):yCoord(objCoord)-yCoord(lowerLeft(viewBBox))

    the last statement could be more concisely expressed as:

    objRelativeCoord=mapcar('difference objCoord lowerLeft(viewBBox))

    It does seem a bit overkill to me to determine if something successfully zoomed in or not - and simply checking the result of hiGetViewBBox() would seem sufficient to me rather than having to check all the objects within the window.
