Regarding minimum number of cuts and other options while using viaGenerateViasAtPoint()

Hi,

I am trying to connect two metals with the script and a via at their meeting point using SKILL and we are facing the following issue while using viaGenerateViasAtPoint().

We are not able to set the minimum number of cuts for vias in the via options.

We are using the Script like this.

techFile = techGetTechFile(ddGetObj("ln05lpe"))
constraintGroupId = cstFindConstraintGroupIn(techFile "virtuosoDefaultSetup")
myViaOptions = viaGetViaOptions(constraintGroupId).

Can somebody please point us which file needs to be changed for changing the via options.

or if it cannot be changed what will be the other options to set minimum no of cuts. It will be really helpful.

Thank you

Ganesh Doddipatla.

    Hi Andrew,

    Recently I started working on making a pcell of tcoil.

    I started using the PCell option in plugins menu and created one pcell but its not very useful as I was not able to put the options that I want to put in it.

    for example I want to keep width of multiple metals and spaceings and so on

    Then I started looking in to cadence forums if anybody worked on it previously then I came across Pcell through SKILL code and Cadence PCell Designer.

    I just want atleast a beginners guide for Pcell through SKILL code.

    and Also I want to know how to install and use the cadence Pell designer and what kind of licenses it will use??

    It will be a great help.

    Thank you
    Ganesh Doddipatla.
