Dumping layer list sorted by "swatch" - Solved by using public API

Hi,

My bindkeys are defined using hardcoded layer numbers, which seem to follow the "swatch" column order in the layout pane:

Is there any way to export this list so I can find the layer number efficiently?

'save LSW' option doesn't seem to work (doesn't include all layers).

Thanks ahead!

Why not change your bindkey (assuming they are as those in the post  Odd behavior of bindkeys in virtuoso layout view to use the public API rather than just what appears in the CIW. Then you can use:

    leSetEntryLayer("Metal2")

    or

    leSetEntryLayer(list("Metal2" "label")) ; if you need a layer-purpose pair.

Or you could use the pteSetActiveLpp("Metal2 drawing") API (that's what I get in my CDS.log if you use the palette).

    Thanks for your help, Andrew,

I think I sorted this out:

I ended up using the public API. Initially I had syntax errors, which were solved as follows (for whoever is interested in the future):

    Open the bindkeys editor:

Go to 'lyout' submenu and type directly the required command (this is what worked for me):

Then save the selected bindkeys using the bottom-left 'save' option:

Open the generated file with a text editor and figure out how the syntax is supposed to look like (I know, it's M2 here and not M1 as above...):

    From here, extension was trivial...

    Cheers,

    Matan
