Create Rectangle Blockage layers : Command used dbCreateAreaBlockage , dbCreateLayerBlockage

Hello,

I am working on a script to place and route blockage layers over an IP.

I need to place both instance blockage and routing blockage layers in a rectangular shape.

However, functions like dbCreateAreaBlockage and dbCreateLayerBlockage only allow specifying polygon points.

Could you please guide me on how to place instance and routing blockage layers in a rectangular shape effectively?

TestCase:

Thank you!

    Nisanth,

    I'd have thought that was pretty obvious - you need to construct a list of four points, which you could get using combinations of xCoord(lowerLeft(bBox)), yCoord, upperRight etc. Or you could use:

    bBox='((0 0) (5 5))
    destructuringBind(((llx lly) (urx ury)) bBox
      dbCreateAreaBlockage(cv list(llx:lly llx:ury urx:ury urx:lly))
    )

    which is quite a compact way of writing it.
