How to assign VIA to a net name?

As the metals, when I assign a net name to VIA,

i use

objname = dbMakeNet(cv Name)

dbAddFigToNet(_metal objname)

However, in VIA

*WARNING* (DB-221312): dbAddFigToNet: Figures that belong to a route cannot be added to a net.

this error happen.

Can i get how to do?

thanks

    This is probably because the via was created with the layout editor open. You'd have to remove it from the route first - there's not a particularly nice API for doing this, but you can do:

    via~>route~>objects=remove(via via~>route~>objects)
    dbAddFigToNet(via net)
